Dogs love long walks in the woods, but can get into trouble without being on a leash. This leash is remarkably sturdy and flexible. The narrow and light quality is exactly what my dog loves because she feels free what with the long length. But, I can still give her a quick reminder to back up quickly from danger like from a snake or such. It does take some finesse and practice to keep it from tangling. Also, I carefully rewind each time I put it away to prevent any knots. Used with care and practice, it is a great gift to your dog to help it feel free while you keep it safe.

I have a tiny 3.2-pound chihuahua and all the leashes I would find were too thick or the clasp was too big Thank god I found this one! It's perfect for training at the park. I can let my doggie run away, knowing she's safely attached to this leash.

Got this leash to use as a training tool with my foster dogs. It has worked well for several dogs ranging from 55 - 110 lbs some of whom do not have good leash skills. I've used it with both collar and harness walking and it works well.

I like a long lead for my 96 lb girl that loves to walk and sniff, but I need to have control. It's a sturdy leash and well made. Dragging through anything and everything, eventually it does fray and look pretty beat up, when it's time to replace, I always go back to this leash.

I use this leash to run with my dogs because I like the greater distance between us. I've had it for about 6 months now and still get great use out of it; I run 3 miles a day 5 times a week, take them to the beach, jogging trails, etc. It's still going strong! My dogs tend to pull pretty hard at the beginning of a run (one is 50lbs) and I have had no issues with the metal components or with seems tearing. Good purchase for training, or for just taking a jog.

I love this leash. I bough it with the matching collar for my puppy. This leash is also the perfect length, it's not too short and not too long. A lot of leashes are so short, my puppy can't explore and I have to walk very fast to keep up with him. It's a great length for a dog that is already trained to walk on a leash. She walks right along side of us, but during the fireworks she got spooked by an early one set off and she tried to bolt (she's an 8 year old corgi), it was durable and held it's strength. And large enough to clip a poop pocket, water bottle, etc and your hand.

We have two boxers, and needed a couple leashes. We wanted to avoid leather ( just another food source for a dog) and wanted a durable, heavy-duty material that would stand wear, tear and weather. Oh, and that we could get in two different colors so each of our boxers would look attractive in their own palette.

It's thick and sturdy. My dog isn't a chewer so I can't speak to whether or not it's chew proof but it seems like it would be. It's easy to grip too. I wrap it around my wrist a few times to keep him close and let a round or two go when he has more room to roam. I've never lost control of him with this leash. I highly recommend it.
