Very easy to slip on. Allows enough give to hold a treat so he would slip his nose in and chew a soft treat. He can still eat soft treats while wearing. Much better than the one the vet tried to use.

I used this muzzle after taking off an e collar on my dog after surgery. I needed some protection as I had to do physical therapy on the affected leg. My dog will bite. This muzzle worked great. She did not try to get out of it. I would measure your animal's nose for correct size.

I have a pitbull that is fearful of dogs. This was the only muzzle that my dog couldn’t rip off (I bought 6 other products). I do have to say that’s the reason I have bought 3 of these. If you pick a size too small the Velcro can come off. The only thing keeping the mouth closed is Velcro and a hook. Therefore, over time the Velcro can come lose and the cloth on the belt can become frayed. Although it’s not the best muzzle out there, it looks less scary, does the job and also I’ve bought 3 of these so it’s the only one that works for us.

He's part Great Pyrenees with the double dew claws. We've only used the muzzle once cutting his dews, which curl around and grow into his pads. He wasn't particularly cooperative before, but did okay with the muzzle. So it was important to get a muzzle that didn't smother him, but was secure enough to allow for nail cutting and, as it warms up, a summer haircut. We'll see how he does with the haircut and check back if the rating changes. So far, so good.

Seems like good quality and will last long time. I like the design so my dog is not perceived as scary or threatening while wearing. I bought because my dog can get a bit snappy with new dogs when she's leashed. She's actually a complete love bug but in those rare, reactive moments I don't want her to do any harm. Some people mentioned their dog easily escaped from the muzzle and I realized my dog at first wanted to as well (probably from the small discomfort of having something attached to the face for the first time). So I started putting it on my dog for short sessions while she's relaxing on sofa (approx 5 mins and working up to 20) and then removing and immediately giving a treat. After some time with this routine, she wasn't bothered at all by the muzzle. Pleased with this purchase.

After my dog stopped letting me cut his nails, opting instead to keep putting his teeth on me (he doesn't bite, but I'm not risking it); me getting tired of spending $25 to have the vet clip them; or finding out the hard way that Petsmart groomers are not equipt or adept at handling a rambunctious 70lb-plus pittie long enough to do the job, I knew I had to take the matter into my own hands. So, I went for the L/XL. It's just a smidge longer than I'd like it on his snout. Otherwise, it fits perfectly. I'll keep putting the muzzle on every day for a few seconds and work up to longer times, playing games with him, until he's not trying to "escape" from it anymore. Then I'll start working on those claws.

This muzzle is soft and easy to put on your dog. Pit bulls have very short, big snouts, and I had a hard time finding anything that fit. Every other muzzle I tried was hard plastic and looked like it came out of horror movie, not to mention they frequently blocked the eyes. This was the 5th that I tried, and it was a winner. I don't think it would work for an extremely aggressive dog as it's soft and comfy and probably easy to rip through, but it does work for nice dogs that like to chase cats. Tip: to get your dog used to a muzzle, stick a treat in it a few times without fastening it. Once you do finally fasten it, they're totally cool with it.
