One of the best leashes I've owned. The handle has enough grip for my hands to hold onto. Most the time my pup breaks these types of leashes quickly due to his size and the tug he can have when he wants to take off. But this holds up without making me feel like I'm tugging too hard on him. Highly recommend for all size dogs.

We have a Siberian Husky who has broken other retractable leashes when he tries to take off after a deer or something, but this one has passed the test. It's comfortable to hold and the locking mechanism is great. It took me a little getting used to, but now I like it a lot.

Seems to be well made. I have been using this for a few weeks with 60 pound puppy who likes to go her own way. The lease works great. I give the dog so room to explore the woods on the sides of the road and reel her in when a car comes or another dog is walking by.

My dog takes me out for a drag all over the place twice a day. The leash is responsive and quick to go in our out with her sporadic walking style. I can walk both of our dogs at the same time with one leash in each hand. One zigzags all over the road and one makes a beeline out ahead of us. These make that possible.

It's been 3 months with a 45-pound, very energetic and playful dog, and this leash is doing fine. It doesn't tangle or quit retracting. She also tears aroung with the cord in her mouth and there's no damage at all. It locks easily, but can be a little stubborn unlocking. That's better than the other way around if you live in the city.

This leash got a durability test the first day we got it. We took our dog for a walk and accidentally dropped the leash, the sound scared our dog and he took off running with the leash clacking behind him on the sidewalk. When we finally caught up to him we thought that the leash was doomed. Aside from a few scuff marks the leash was in perfect condition! We are very impressed. The leash is beautifully made, extremely durable and strong. It fits comfortably in the hand and is easy to grip. So far this leash gets a hefty thumbs up and 5 stars.

I've been using the retractable leash for just over 3 weeks now and I am happy with it so far. I've always had bad luck with retractable leashes so actually stopped buying them but decided to give this one a try. My dogs is about 60 pounds and likes to pull every once in a while but not nearly as bad as when he was a puppy which is one of the reasons I think the leash has lasted longer than any I have had in the past.

When we opened the package the whole thing looked awkward and we thought a bit bulky but after using a month it’s actually really ergonomic and easy to lock. The only downside is that it’s a little hard to reel back in without accidentally locking it. Not a deal breaker though. We just use voice command to stop her or pull with the other hand.

Well designed! Comfortable to hold and very smooth operation. The temporary lock is very easy to lock, which I could see being very helpful to anyone with weak hands or arthritis. Ok, so I don't really like the lock/unlock latch (it is the opposite of every other leash I've used) but that could just be my opinion and others might prefer it. Everything else is top-notch. Quality seems great. I have used it for about a month with a large (~70lb) dog who likes to pull and this has performed well. For the price, this is a great leash.

During the ongoing pandemic it has been advised that we keep our dogs on leads. The one we currently use for walking Marley along the road can't be retracted - and we don't want it to as we want to keep him close to us. But, for walks at the park or on a recreational ground this lead is perfect.

I have dropped this leash multiple times (getting in and out of the car, not paying attention, etc.) and it has held up very, very well. Hope they keep this model in their product line!

I have a Queensland Heeler that has a lot of energy. Unfortunately I have had several hand surgeries due to corporal tunnel and a bad back. This leash is a godsend. On regular leashes whenever my dog pulled or snapped her head around to smell something this would cause me painful issues. This leash works great-it smoothly lets the dog run forward a bit or stop and the leash keeps up without any issues. It is a bit heavy however that is because it is made well.

The leash itself is incredibly sturdy, I'm not afraid by any means that it might snap while using. A long length is given, great if taking your furry pet to an open space such as a park or open trails. I like it enough already that I'm going to buy a small size for our other dog, a 14 lb dauchsaund.

So we bought the medium for our 25 pound doggo. Leash works great the only minor con I could say is the handle is a little small for me. My girlfriend has no issues but when I'm pulling a bag and trying to pick up his poop it's a little difficult.

I absolutely love this leash. I chose it based on reviews, and the fact that I have a VERY VERY VERY ridiculously strong 50 lb pit. 50 lb isn't big for a pit, but man she's almost stronger than me when it comes to pulling and we are still working on training. I hadn't used one of these types of leashes with her yet because I was afraid we'd break one while training her not to pull. Well after a month or so of hesitantly using it, I stopped worrying about it. I've head it for several months now. It's incredibly strong, doesn't twist up and ruin the retraction over time, and really is strong enough. My dog actually behaves better with this leash than our standard leash, and my theory is that it's the very gentle tension that's always on the line. I love this thing and will buy another one if it ever breaks!

I love retractable leashes because I want to give my pal maximum freedom while keeping him safe. So far this leash seems very durable over the few months that I've had it. No loss in retraction or other problems. Unfortunately, my dog loves to bite the leash from time to time. I was afraid that the thin nylon type material would be destroyed quickly, but to my surprise, it has endured admirably with only some slight fraying. Overall, I have to give this 5 stars because I haven't been able to find a better leash. Oh, I dropped it on concrete a few times and it never cracked. Feels very durable.

Bought a rescue dog yesterday. Haven't owned a dog in almost 15 years and that many years ago, I'm not sure they had leashes like that. Maybe they did, I don't know. Anyway, I have a new friend, a five year old Chihuahua, who was somewhat recently gave birth, was then fixed, microchipped, dewormed, tested and given preventative for Heartworm, etc. She came from Kentucky after being found as a stray and not claimed and now has come to my home in Pennsylvania to her forever home. Yay! Anyway, this leash is AWESOME! It works perfectly and has plenty of line so she can explore the grass. It's a great product for sure! You will not be disappointed!

I really like this leash! I've had a few retractable leashes and this one is by far the best one I've owned. I've only had it for a couple months, but it feels very sturdy. I have a smaller dog who has been nicknamed "pinball" on walks because she's rambunctious and you just never know what way she's going to try to go next. This results in the leash becoming very twisted. Surprisingly, this doesn't seem to affect retraction at all! The one I bought for my other dog was twice the price and the spring is wearing out even though she's older and barely has any interest in changing sides of the sidewalk. I might just get another one of these for her, as well. If it starts to wear out, I'll edit my review. So far, so good!

I'm so happy I caved in and bought this ! My dog pulls like crazy on a normal leash. I bought this because we stayed at a hotel for four days and would have to take him out through out the night. I didn't want to walk all over the yard with him. This is great for letting them do their thing and not having to be pulled all over the yard .I'd recommend this to friends and other big dogs like mine.

Most of my friends hate retractable leashes and I don't like the thin cord ones as they can get wrapped around a dog's limb and injure them. This one has a ribbon leash and retracts fast, which is critical to prevent tangles.

My first impression of this was how large it is. i think I may have accidentally bought the large size but I figure it will hold even better, so I'm not worried about it. This feels sturdy and substantial. The case is plastic, the thumb lock is plastic, but does seem solid. When I lock the leash, it locks quickly. With the current use we have had, I expect it to last a while. Using it on a 70 lb dog that on occasion will hit the end of the leash fairly hard if he goes after a rabbit or a squirrel. I would not hesitate to buy another one of these.
